Cyanotype Embroidered Map

This is a new workshop where you will design your own map (of a real or imagined location) onto fabric using the cyanotype process and then embellish with embroidery.
Over the weekend you will learn about :
. the history of the technique and the woman who pioneered it
. the chemicals involved and how to prepare them.. how to prepare your own paper and textiles. how to use a variety of materials for collage effects. how to expose your own map onto fabric and then embellish it with stitch to create a unique artwork
Please note: parts of this workshop will be conducted outdoors.
Cost: $350 includes GST, morning and afternoon teas and all materials. Please bring your own lunch.
